If your child is interested in playing football, please come along to Saturday morning coaching sessions for the Under 6’s which will be taking place weekly on Ashwell recreation ground from 9.30-10.30am starting Saturday 11th September 2010.
Open to all boys and girls in Year 1, these sessions will offer fun, relaxed training and encouragement whilst also teaching basic football skills. The sessions also aim to offer a grounding for children who are interested in playing football through informal practice and development. The Under 6’s do not play in a league however a few friendly fixtures may be arranged for later on in the season.
There is no formal kit for the Under 6’s so children wishing to take part should wear appropriate training gear/kit for all weather conditions. Football boots with studs should be worn and shin pads are compulsory. Children should also bring along their own drinks for refreshment.
It must be stipulated that children should not be left unattended at these sessions. A parent/guardian or other responsible adult must stay for the duration of the session and you remain responsible for your child at all times.
The cost of a season’s membership is £55; however the Under 6’s will not need to register and pay until November/December giving the children an opportunity to try out the sessions for a while before any need to make a financial commitment for the season. Daniel Hall will be the Under 6s' coach for the season.
If you would like any further information and are interested in your child joining these sessions, please the Club Secretary, Cath Connolly, on 01462 742139.
